Dr MacSweeney Wins EY Entrepreneur Of The Year 2019 Societal Impact Award for London & The South
We are delighted to announce that Dr Emer MacSweeney, Founder and CEO of Re:Cognition Health has been awarded WINNER of Societal Impact category at the EY Entrepreneur Of The Year Awards 2019 for London and the South. Dr MacSweeney will now proceed to the national finals in this very prestigious awards programme, which will be held in September 2019.
Dr MacSweeney has been recognised for her outstanding contribution in helping to change the future for individuals living with Alzheimer’s disease by using the latest, evidence-based diagnostics and treatments and pioneering research in clinical trials.
Under Dr MacSweeney’s leadership, Re:Cognition Health is recognised as the fasted growing company globally, providing clinical trials for Alzheimer’s Disease and all other causes of dementia. Re:Cognition Health has also expanded its clinical trials offering to include research into new treatments for autism symptoms (adult and children), migraine and Parkinson’s disease, offering more individuals the opportunity to benefit from early access to new generation treatments, as well as contribute to much-needed research.
Re:Cognition Health has also continued the expansion of its medico-legal business to include the wider arena of traumatic brain injury (TBI) and PTSD. This is through collaboration with the legal profession, veterans and case managers and pursuing research with Aston University Brain Centre and Nottingham University Peter Mansfield Academic Imaging Centre, to create a new diagnostic test for TBI and PTSD. Dr MacSweeney, alongside Re:Cognition Health’s medico-legal experts, undertakes pro bono Medico-Legal expert witness work for Veterans with TBI.
The EY Entrepreneur Of The Year Awards have been running for over 20 years and recognise the talent of successful entrepreneurs who are making a positive impact on society, the economy and the legacies they are building. The Awards are part of a global programme covering 145 cities in over 50 countries.
