About
Lisa provides detailed assessment of cognitive and communication disorders that can result from a stroke, head injury (TBI), Parkinson’s Disease, Motor Neurone Disease, brain tumours, Alzheimers disease and Multiple Sclerosis (MS).Once an assessment is completed Lisa will work closely with a client looking not only at developing a suitable treatment plan, but how to support and enable the client and their family to communicate effectively and manage any cognitive difficulties such as memory or processing problems.
Lisa also provides a paediatric service alongside her neurological work which specialises in Language Processing Disorders (difficulty understanding and using language successfully). Lisa uses both the traditional paediatric forms of treatment and those developed from her cognitive, neuroscience background to develop strategies to enable children with language and cognitive difficulties to process and understand information more successfully.
