Dr Stephen Pearson FRCPsych is a Consultant in Old Age Psychiatry based in Plymouth. He works for Re:Cognition Health at the Plymouth Science Park where he leads a clinical research team that delivers world-class clinical dementia research trials.
He describes these research trials as bringing hope to people with dementia and offering an opportunity for patients and volunteers to get involved in research. He also offers a My Memory Service at the research centre for assessments of patients concerned about early memory problems.
Dr Pearson also works in NHS services in a memory clinic and local community services. He is the lead for the South West Peninsula Huntington’s Disease Clinic and offers advice and support to professionals and patients.
