Dr Stephen Pearson FRCPsych, is a Consultant in Old Age Psychiatry based in Plymouth. He works for Re:Cognition Health at the Plymouth Science Park where he leads a clinical research team who deliver world class clinical dementia research trials.
He describes these research trials as bringing hope to people with dementia, and offer an opportunity for patients and volunteers to get involved in research. He also offers a My Memory Service at the research centre for assessments of patients concerned about early memory problems.
Dr Pearson also works in NHS services in a memory clinic, and in local community services. He is the lead for the South West Peninsula Huntington’s Disease Clinic and offers advice and support to professionals and patients.
