Dr Ben Marlow, Consultant Paediatrician at Re:Cognition Health will be speaking at the Autism Show at London’s Excel
When: Friday 17th June at 3:15pm.
Dr Marlow’s presentation will cover the medical comorbidities in children with Autism and intellectual disability and the importance of a multidisciplinary team approach for very complex and challenging health needs.
Autistic Spectrum Disorder is a very complex, heterogenous condition that has many associated underlying medical conditions that can severely impact on quality of life and learning experiences.
Often associated with learning disability, these children are also more likely to suffer from medical comorbidities such as constipation, reflux, seizures, migraine and metabolic differences.
Trying to understand these medical differences is also key to managing behaviour and mental health presentations.
Dr Marlow will also speak about new areas of interest including the microbiome, cancer biology and stress / cell danger response.
Come and visit Re:Cognition Health team at the Autism Show on stand D14, where the expert team will be on hand to answer questions about autism, assessments, early intervention, play-based therapies for children and much more.
We hope to see you there!
