Dr Emer MacSweeney, Consultant Neuroradiologist at Re:Cognition Health was delighted to be a guest speaker at Cloisters Tech Con 2019.
The conference was designed to educate practitioners on the very latest innovations and cutting-edge developments in medical and assistive technology. The programme of esteemed speakers ranged from medical, therapeutic and technical disciplines with a focus on the most important recent advancements.
Some of the UK’s leading experts across fields spanning exoskeletons, FES, robotics, Smart wheelchairs, neuroradiology, lasers, virtual reality, prosthetics and scar revision came together to share their knowledge.
Dr MacSweeney delivered a talk on the Latest Developments in Neuroradiology. As a world-leading expert in this field, she informed delegates of the significant advances that have been made over the past few years in understanding structural brain injury. Dr MacSweeney spoke of the developments of increasingly sophisticated neuro-imaging techniques, including new biomarkers for interpreting and objectively measuring brain injury and how this has increased understanding of Mild Traumatic Brain Injury.
