Dr Joanne Rodda shares her top travel tips

It’s that time of year when holiday fever hits the nation as millions of people head abroad in pursuit of sunshine, sand and magical moments.

Packing can be a tedious task, with the fear of forgetting the endless essentials. From suncream, swimsuits and outfit changes (for every eventuality) through to inflight travel items and holiday entertainment, the lists can be pretty lengthy.

Joanne Rodda, Consultant Psychiatrist at Re:Cognition Health gave her top travel tips to Woman’s Own, for a feature on what the health experts take on holiday.

Whether it’s a quick and easy crossword, or a cryptic one, a daily dose of a puzzle can help keep the brain engaged and sharp. It can also help improve verbal skills and assist with problem solving skills.

Crossword books are also inexpensive, portable and fun and give a wonderful sense of achievement when completed.
